Call of Duty: Modern Warfare showed multiplayer gameplay yesterday (InfinityWard, Gameranx)

• Has traditional game modes like Deathmatch and Domination
  • These modes can have 6v6, 10v10, or 20v20
• New game modes are Gunfight, Ground War, and Realistic Mode, there may be more
  • Gunfight = (2) 2v2 teams, random loadouts, close quarters maps, changing rules
  • Ground War = “Epic large scale mode supporting 100+ players” details scarce
  • Realistic Mode = Certain maps have a night mode that works as a deathmatch mode but with the lights out.  Must use night vision and HUD vanishes.  Aiming down sight actives laser sight that can only be seen while using night vision.
• Gunsmith mode is new weapon customization system with 30-60 attachments per gun
  • You can customize the stocks, grips, sights, muzzles, barrels, and undergrip
  • Most are unique to each weapon but some do overlap
• Killstreaks make a return after taking a break and being replaced them w/ scorestreaks
• Open Beta times have been announced and PS4 will get it before other platforms
  • PS4: Early Access = Sep 12 – Sep 13, Regular Access = Sep 14 – Sep 16
  • Other platforms: Early Access = Sep19-Sep20, Regular Access = Sep21-Sep23
  • Do not know what modes will be in beta but it will have full cross-play
  • The input method you use to play will determine who you play with
